We'd like to extend a huge thanks to all the folks that came out to our second pairing dinner, Summer's Bounty! Teaming up with Schaner Farms to put together a fresh, farm to table menu featuring seasonal fruits and veggies was a load of fun and yielded some awesome results.

For the first course we paired our Struggle Bus Pale Ale with fresh, local yellow tail with wasabi avocado puree, pickled shallots and house-made citrus ponzu sauce.

Chef Brad putting the finishing touches on the Heirloom tomato gazpacho that we paired with a refreshing Tom Collins and our german-style kolsch, Of Kolsch!

Next up was pan roasted Halibut with chili spiced summer squash and cilantro cream sauce. This dish went perfect with our Paloma which featured Arette Represado Tequila and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

Pete Schaner spent a bit of time talking about the drought and it's impact on his livelihood, what we see in stores available for purchase and also the flavors we're tasting in locally grown produce.

Delicious smoked pork belly waiting to be plated with the swiss chard ravioli for the fourth course.

Some folks enjoying the final course featuring a donut hole trio with citrus creme anglaise and candied zest that was paired with a Kumquat Daiquiri.

Events like Summers Bounty help us really connect with our guests and showcase the talents of our kitchen, brewing and bar team and above all express our creativity in new ways. We plan to continue to do these intimate pairing dinners in the future, but they do sell out fast so please make sure you're on our mailing list so you don't miss out!

Cheers!

Introducing "Sweet Ride", the first lager from the Bagby Compound. Named after the majestic chariot that safely whisked us to and from the #FWIBF a few weeks ago, this Bohemian-style Pils is light and refreshing and ever so drinkable. Pair it with the smoked chicken and sweet pepper pizza on our specials menu for maximum pleasure.

Timbo and Brandon playing a little "don't flinch" while we wait for Jeff to head out to BNA10. Timmy flinched.

Handful of these down at The Brewery Network/Whitelabs party this week.

Pretty common sight at the Rare Barrel table.

The Creepy Creeps doing their thing at The Brewing Network 10th anniversary.

Folks have been pretty impressed and gracious with our team washing out every single glass we pour at these most recent festivals. You're welcome, wouldn't want any lingering flavors from other beers hanging around.

Speaking of White Labs, remember our friends Garage Project? Pete wrote up a nice little article about the process it took to make bossa nova and some surprises they ran into along the way, you should take a second to go read it.

We're back in action after an insanely fun weekend at the Firestone Walker Invitational up in beautiful Paso Robles, CA. We were one of 50-ish breweries hand selected from around the world to showcase our beers alongside breweries like Alchemist, Russian RiverFloydsSun KingGarage Project and Mahrs just to name a few. The weather and the setting were perfect for tasting all the rad beers.

Here's Brandon showing off the mothership, our home for the weekend. We got a few compliments over the weekend, so don't be surprised if you see a beer called "Sweet Ride" on the menu in the not too distant future.

Friday night started off right at the local waterpark where Firestone treated all the breweries to an afternoon of beers and lazy rivers.

Speaking of beer, this right here is a 2 day old can of Union Jack. 2. Days. Old. It was fresher than a classroom of unruly kindergartners hopped up on cupcakes and pop.

Mimosa? Coming right up, grab me my saber and I'll get this bottle open right away.  Wait. What?!

Patiently waiting for the festivities to begin.

Jeff hanging with Jos from Garage Project after a long day in the sun.

All aboard the Struggle Bus, you gotta pace yourself kids. Otherwise you'll end up snoozing on a bench while rent-a-cops decide what to do with you.

We swung by Garage Project for a Two Tap Flat White. It's a robust espresso stout topped with a whipped lactose cream ale that is simply OUTSTANDING.

Fact, Timbo hates Underbergs.

But this guy loves his washoos

Firestone spared no expense and covered every single detail to insure that the brewers and guests alike had a perfect experience. We had an absolutely amazing time and were blown away by the expertise with which this event was put together. Thank you again for having us, we're already looking forward to next year!

Cheers!

Huge congrats to Devin and Leesa on their engagement this weekend! Devin is part of our management team here at Bagby and his new finance Leesa is responsible for most of the photos you see here on our site. Good luck kids!

We're on the quest to add the perfect bloody mary to the menu. This past week we had an in-house challenge with our employees to bring in their recipe and help us develop the Bagby Mary. Here's Justin setting up the blind taste challenge, stay tuned for the final recipe.

Thanks to our Oceanside neighbors, Captains Grounds for daily caffeination.

This should be fun, can't wait to meet some new friends and hope to see familiar faces there.

Finally, cheers to our friend and team member Nick who was recently hired at Nixon. Although we'll miss him, we know he'll kill it over there. Good luck!
